A creation signed by Kermit Oliver, the Hermès scarf Faune et Flore du Texas (Fauna and Flora of Texas) was first issued in 1987. It was reissued only once, in 1990, in the 90 cm format, before a final reissue in 2011, in the 70 cm format only.

This scarf was created for the 150th anniversary of Texas independence. Within the traditional wreath of cacti, fruit and flowers sits the emblematic turkey, perched on a rocky ridge typical of the Texan landscape.
Placed at the four cardinal points and linked by a garland of wild flowers are the puma, the longhorn cow, the coyote and the mustang, all inseparable from the history of the state.

Made in a rich multicoloured palette, this edition features shades of anthracite, taupe, green and pink, all set off by a black frame. A combination much sought after by collectors.
