The fruit of a prestigious collaboration between the Maison Hermès and the Musée des Tissus in Lyon, this scarf designed by the artist Christine Henry celebrates the heritage of the silk capital. Issued once and only once, in 2013, this meticulous composition transforms fragments of textile archives into a dreamlike garden. Every butterfly wing and every flower corolla reproduces historical motifs (embroideries, silks, archives) held in the museum.
This royal blue colourway is deep and vibrant, enhanced by a contrasting white hand-rolled hem. This narrative work is a particularly sought-after collector’s piece.

“To create this scarf for the autumn-winter 2020 collection, the designer Christine Henry immersed herself in the precious collections of the Musée des Tissus et des Arts décoratifs in Lyon.
Medieval tapestries, ancient tunics and extremely rare screens inspired this silk garden with its lavish bestiary.
Byzantine animals, Chinese shrubs, Russian griffins and Indian foliage intertwine, celebrating the artistic exchanges between East and West.
